Artek is originally a Finnish modern furniture store nowadays owned by a Swiss furniture brand Vitra. The flagship store on Esplanadi in the center of Helsinki needed a specified places for the new product lines and at the same time the overall renovation was made. The store layout was completely changed and the circulation was renewed. The sales counter was made of precast concrete with an inset logo from black granite and the rear panel wall of the counter was colored with a certain mid-century blue which was typically used by architect Alvar Aalto who was one of the founders of the Artek Furniture Company.
