Changsha Wujiang Center
Changsha, China
2013
423.000 m2

This large mixed use development located in the capital of Hunan province Changsha in the People's Republic of China was a shared winning entry in a closed bidding of eight different companies. The unorthodox design creates a hybrid building group consisting of a five star hotel, high-end residential, serviced apartments, A-grade office space and extensive commercial, retail and entertainment facilities. Due to height limitations set by the nearby airport the overall height could not exceed sixty meters. The design thinking was to enable the development of multiple ground floors in order to maximize the commercial value of the massive retail podium.
